Not jumping to the defense of the company, but I've run their BCG's in 3 of my builds and haven't had any issues at all. Some of their later production runs of NIB carriers were more of a satin color than the polished look of most other NIB Bolt Carriers. I have one of these as well. it still runs great, but it has collected a lot of odd permanent discoloration from carbon fouling. The surface still seems very slick though, even with the discoloration. At least from a product standpoint, their stuff seems to be pretty decent for the most part. Haven't heard about any of these self destructing like the batch of ceramic coated BCG that Midway was selling anyway.

Pull the bolt and cam pin and try just the bare carrier. Might be an out of spec cam pin dragging inside the upper.

Listen to AR15 barrels. Its normal for new stuff to be just a little rough. After you shoot it a few times the parts wear together and become a matched set. Now if it's seriously sticking I would send it back

I also have a rguns NIB and phosphate BCG, i think I have the same issue but its a backup BCG. about 90% in it comes to a stop like its rubbing against the upper.

When I pulled the BCG out you can see some marks where it rubbed against on the sides of the gas key.
It goes in with a slight push with my Aero upper.

My other Rguns black phosphate BCG is a litte rougher in the same upper, takes a bit more force to push it in.

The NIB Rguns in the BCM upper is a little rougher to put in and pull out.
The black phosphate is even rougher to put in and out.

            Both run BCM BCGs primarily.

My guess is that the Rguns BCG could be just .0001+ larger than all my other BCGs? or the BCM ones are that much smaller?

I would lube it generously, then shoot it as ar15 barrels suggested. And no I wouldn't sand it.

Lube the rings, exhaust ports, cam pin, bolt lugs, rails etc and shoot. Most new build will be tight...
