Haha I treat all my rifles like babies! Brass no steel, clean with frog lube through every 150 rounds, though I do have one rifle I consider a battle rifle and don't treat is with suh care lol well thts true I didn't think of that, you can always burry it? Lol or you can have the bolt carrier with you and keep it! Just leave the empty shell of the rifle without the BCG in your house?

Keep it at the parents, or move outside campus past 100yards away. Bring it to school and get caught... No more toys for along time. If I were you don't risk it. LE/DA would even try constructive possession.

Keep the upper, that isn't a gun. Lock the lower. Most indoor gun ranges have storage lockers you can rent.

Yeah, no guns on Colleges so that is why there are never any violent crimes on campuses? Sarcasm. DO you really think nobody has guns on college campuses? That is why they call it conceal carry because loose lips sinks ships. I guess I would elect to live off campus. I have an out of the box idea they may work. If you can develop a good relationship with a LGS, maybe you can consign your rifle there for say an extremely high price and if he sells it, OK, then you can buy something else, but if not, which is likely, then all you have to do is re-dros it for $25 and ten days later it is back with you and you are off to the range. But of course if some legislation comes up and they are made illegal, then you may have difficulties??? Doesn't it suck that the law abiding citizen has been made into a criminal by simply just wanting to go to college? We are not supposed to be afraid of guns and lock them up deep in a safe because who knows, they can go on a killing spree all on their own. It is laughable that a gun can do a crime all on its own. But look at what it has come to. You can't even drive around with a rifle hanging in your pickup because someone will be shaking in their boots at the very sight.

Just posted the gun in a WTS thread. Was thinking about breaking the gun apart, but at the same time I would want to shoot it. No point in having a gun if I can't shoot it, plus the parts would be 5-7 hours apart. And of course, with college and work, I don't see myself at the range as much as I want.

Unless you need the cash, I would just keep it and live off campus and not tell anyone about it.

Coming from an Asian family, they dont like guns?
I come from an Asian family and most of us like guns (save for my Brady bunch mother). The gun shows out here are mostly Asian, hell most of the parts you see at gun shows are made in Asia!

Ok, joking aside, some ranges (usually indoor) rent lockers to store firearms in. I would look into that.
At least just for the lower.

If you have any very very trustworthy friends, see if they can hold on to it for now.

Then don't tell management about it. Worst that would happen if they found out would be just a breach of contract.

EDIT: In fact they probably don't care and just put that in the lease because they're afraid of being held liable (they can't). It's just there to cover their arse.

I wouldn't sell it, CA is going to make all bullet buttoned rifles become RAWs this year. That bill will pass and you will not be able to replace your rifle, not until after a lengthy court battle anyway.

Unless you find that random person that really likes red & white color-fill or thinks you might be the next Andy Warhol, I would have to say "yes". Have you tried removing it without damaging the factory finish? Are we talking about just the roll mark or more? Pics?

Laws against murder and attempted murder should have been the only gun control laws ever needed in America...
