    Both are made by DPMS.
This is like asking how does a chevy suburban compare to a chevy suburban.

Reallllllly, this... I did not know. Hmmm.... right on. So better exmple would be like comparing a GMC Sierra to a Chevy Silverado. Both GM's just different names.

Nah, GMC is supposed to be a better trim package.
Fulton is no better than DPMS.

Perhaps the barrels are different, but the bolts, carriers and receivers are the same for sure.

You can run an Armalite bolt in a DPMS receiver and vice versa.
So do the high end barrel with an Armalite bolt in a DPMS receiver/carrier on POF lower.
This gets you forward assist which the Armalite will not have.
i've been looking for this thread all night.

what is better about the dmps pattern mags? the arfcom faq for ar10 is pretty biased towards ar10 naturally but they suggested that the ar10 mags are equal if not better in both price and performance (if you get the right ones at the right quantity)

How would one go about building an OLL (non-AR10) clone of the SR-25? From my understanding there's slight differences in parts that make the SR-25 not 100% parts compatible with the AR-10 (i.e. allow sharing all the parts on the rifle).

I thought the SR-25 was banned by make and model... It would be nice to be able to build an SR-25 :-P

Get you hands on an upper NOW! They are way back ordered and if you can find one that fits your criteria, buy it. I went the dpms way, and ordered my upper 5/1/08. DPMS says its 6-months back ordered

The 2nd gen Armalite mags seem to have fixed the major AR-10 mag problem which was the spring loaded plunger in the back of the follower.

If the ban were to disappear or I were to wise up and move to Nevada, the first gun I would but is an Armalite AR-10T. When I tested the Armalite line vs The M1As, the 10-T kept up with the National match SAI gun with the added benefit of AR ergonomics and better scope mounting capabilities.

When I first found this site you may remember I ordered an AR-10 upper to go on a Noveske lower -- which got screwed up in shipping, but still may be the way to go (with a U-15 on it! I want removable mags! )

The Knight SR-25 IS a tack driver, but as people have said finicky and not compatible with all accessories. And EXPENSIVE!

Hence I was asking about an OLL clone that is not on the banned list.

but you still recommend the build you detailed earlier in this thread for the forward assist yes?
