The models I'm considering include: Colt LE6940, LWRC, Sig 516 (or other), Steyr USR, and FN SCAR. If you have alternatives I should consider please post (helpful) suggestions below. Also, please support your vote with a comment and information. All input will be greatly appreciated~!

FS2000. Not nose heavy. Looks great. You'll love it.

FS: Atlas Bipod, Custom G23 RMR slide, ETS mags, Jagerwerks, Recover G26/27, CZ Scorpion bits, etc.

What do you plan on doing with this build? Any competition or just occasional trips to the range? Depending on your intentions you might require specific features that might help you narrow it down to a few manufactures. For me if doing Highpower Comp then I would choose either White Oak Armament or Compass Lake Engineering. If three gun or training was in mind then Daniel Defense, & BCM are what I would choose from.

M1 Garand with new barrel and 2000 rounds of ammo, both currently available from the CMP. Both will go up in value shortly, regardless of where the AW & Mag ban goes; that is a heck of a good opportunity for woefully unprepared citizens such as yourself.

Why go with a carbine, when the Garand was found suitable for use by the small and light pre WWII Americans, as well as post Korean war South Korean soldiers?
