I'd go LWRC from your choice list. Unfortunately, you won't find one for under $3000. I have mine on Gunbroker and it already hit $3500. Only selling to buy a Shrike upper for my M16.

For $3k you can get a lower of your choice and 10 rounds of 5.56!

        HK MR556

Best "AR" I've ever owned. Craftsmanship is heads and shoulders above the rest.

Of those listed and amount you can spend, the LWRC, though you should be able to find Colts if you wait a bit at something less then 3K.

Awesomeness? You should have bought a fellow members' $3000 SCAR a few weeks ago, though he sold it for about 6K or thereabouts. Not likely you'll find one in that price range for quite some time, if ever.

Keep you eye on the Firearms For Sale section, you might find something pretty nice there.

Build one with the parts you like best or at least build the lower so you know the parts and how things work.

If I had to buy a complete rifle, I'd go with LWRC, FN SCAR or Sig 516. In that particular order.

I own an M6A2 and going to put an order for a M6A2-S this week.

            Good luck!

LWRC! Like some said, prices are crazy right now. I paid $1,976.00 a couple of days before the madness began so I was lucky. If I were you, I would also consider the HKMR556.

the ar platform is sweet, but if your looking for a rifle that has it all and is a semi auto .223/5.56 then I would go with the MINI-14 no questions about it...

There's one of you in every crowd.

Teasin', we've had a Mini in the family as long as AR's (like early eighties).

Heres what I suggest. Go buy a Knights Armament SR-15 IWS MOD 1 upper and then go buy the complete lower of your choice. This option will be by far the cheapest as the "common" brands are going for insane prices.

Funny thing is that the Knights upper is the best you can buy. Enhanced and improved bolt design rated for 20K rounds, enhanced midlength gas system, very smooth shooting, comes with low pro flip up front and rear sights, etc.

It will be ~~$1300-$1400 from Lawmens (call them) and about a 60-90 day wait. During this time, find a lower.

My suggestion is to ask around, your relatives, your friends. People who are going to help you and not take advantage of your dilemma. Because right now it's late for you to jump on the bandwagon.Oops, sorry! Yes, why not, jump in, if the price is right.

Have somebody build a proper Galil for you, not a Century. you should still get it for way under $3k.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.
