    HELP! IS THIS CORRECT?

did I do this right? I'm not sure. the manual from AR 15.com does not show . Did I install it right? (the buffer and the pin). I'm going to test fire this tomorrow at Angeles but I'm not sure if I did it right?

The buffer tube itself should be touching the pin, to hold it in place. I can't tell from the photo.

The buffer tube doesn't need to be touching the pin, exactly, but should be covering the wide base of the pin, to prevent he pin from popping out.

          It appears correct.

It might help if you take the buffer and spring out and take a picture without it. If upon taking out the buffer the buffer retaining pin flies out, then the buffer tube needs to be tightened on further.

Maybe it's the perspective of the photo, but this is what I see.

yeah hard to tell in the pic....need to pull the buffer and spring out...only the tube should be holding down the pin.

It looks like the buffer tube isn't in far enough to hold down the buffer retaining pin. Does the pin fly out when you push in the buffer?

+1. It looks like there's a thread or two distance between the end of the buffer tube and the retaining pin.

Pin must be held in with the buffer tube not the buffer.

Front of the tube needs to overlap the larger diameter of the detent pin; it should not touch the smaller diameter. Clear?? If not, the tube should allow the pin to move freely, but be retained in the receiver.
