    Inputs please

Guys - I have the chance of buying this upper for $650.00, your thoughts please. It's a complete upper with light charging handle but the ejector cover does not stay closed and no heat sinks.

Yeah, I agree... what's wrong with it and how many rounds have gone through it? A barrel is about 40% of the cost of that upper, retail (~950), so if it's been shot out, you'll end up paying more than a new one.

                  That's a bull barrel.
I bet your buddy is getting one with a lighter barrel now isn't he.

If it turns out to be too heavy for you too, I can take some weight out of it.

                    Randall,

That barrel would look great with that dimpled fluting pattern you posted awhile back. What do you charge for something like that - $20-$30 bucks?

I did exactly ONE of these, whish was more than enough to know I never want to do another one.

There is no price because I'm not doing another one.

                            Why not do more?

Looks like as long as you can index the barrel it shouldn't be that much different than jeweling a bolt.

Anyway, it looks nice, from a practical use standpoint I don't know

Offering the service violates a Knights patent.
I never "offered" to do these nor will I do anymore upon request.
