There's nothing wrong with Wolf in an AR, at all, in spite of what my buddy Randall said up there. In plinking and run and gun, the rifle won't be the limiting factor by any stretch.

For precision rifles? There's no point in shooting it. Maybe my theory is different than others, but if I'm shooting a bolt gun it's to make shots I possibly couldn't with a semi-.

I agree with the Howas, I have have a Axium in 22-250 and after a little load development I'm getting 1/2" groups. But the OP put a limit of 400 so that leaves the howas out. I offered up a Stevens (generic Savage) as you can get one out the door for under 400.
