My 2nd spikes lower has the zombie symbol in color. I prefer the spider but i bought it at reeds the wkend after the shooting and didn't want to lose it. The following wkend, all lowers were gone. Should of bought two.

I used to go to mojave desert and hunt rabbits, by Edward air force base. Can you still shoot out there? Also, heard of some place on pear blossoms highway.

You are going to pay, either with joining a private gun club or with the gas and hassle of driving a long way to shoot magnetic in LA.

You should get the BLM map to see exactly where, but to my knowledge, there are no public desert target ranges in LA county so forget Pear Blossom Highway, the BLM map out there is very restrictive, there are some areas you can hunt with a shotgun, but not target shoot with a rifle/pistol. Stupid with all of those millions of acres of desert out that way. Most Calgunners go all of the way out to Hodge Road, near Victorville and Barstow and even out there, there are a lot of restricted areas/private land so you need the map and GPS to stay totally, 100% legal.

Also small technicality, someone posted that steel core ammo is prohibited on BLM land a while ago, so you are still technically in violation, but the chances are if you are shooting in the true desert, there is nothing to catch on fire anyway.

Try OakTree and BRRC, if you want private clubs. Oaktree some months ago was allowing it. BRRC membership only but allows it during non fire danger months

The only brass cased non magnetic that I've seen in bulk around here is LAX selling the Fiocchi @.60 per round. It hasn't changed in price that's the good part the bad part is in three shots you've spent a Starbucks small cofee price.

you can shoot steel ammo at "On Target" shooting range in Laguna Nigual all day any day.
