Anyone thinking of "worst case" options

I know that the fight is just beginning - but I wondered if anyone besides myself is thinking of alternatives to registering our ARs under NFA? I have seen straight pull bolt action models from the UK, and in the past there have been pump AKs. I'm sure that there are other ways that we can convert these rifles to "manually operated" if the worst happens.
So, again assuming the worst, will you register under NFA - or convert (if that's an option)?
are you a member of the NRA /GOA or donate to
Calguns foundation.
let them fight...
And then if we get to the registration point
then you can talk about REGISTRATION.
Well....are you a member?Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you,

Originally posted by Capybara. So what's the point? Sure, keep them for a SHTF scenario but other than that, you might as well not own them.
This is what we call a lose-lose. Donate to the CGF, NRA, SAF, CRPA. I just did three year renewals for NRA and CRPA and am donating to SAF and CGF. Call and write your reps and let them know that what they are proposing and voting on is unacceptable.
At first, I decided that much like boating in rough seas, I'd actually sell all my registered lowers (one more to go). I figured my plan would keep me off a future bad list, yet leave me with fully functioning ARs. In my dreams, these newly configured and legal (at this point) ARs are not branded or a model, thus providing another level of insulation from self-promoting politicians and the men in black from visiting my home in the middle of the night. And if they did, they would not find that I actually am a deep sea diver and recovered my losses. Ya, maybe I bought myself a tiny bit more time, but to what point? SHTF? Ok, dream over.
Yes, I will actually sell my last registered lower just because my plan was fun and I like the billet paper weights I have been playing with. But realistically, if EVERYONE doesn't make noise NOW we will loose our semi-autos, then certain bolt guns.. Then?
I will write this weekend and donate more. Good post Capybara thank you for the wake up!

AR's
Our AR's will NEVER have to be registered with the NFA. As for Assault Weapons registration in California, you DO NOT give up your 4th ammendment rights if you have a RAW and the men in black (or dark blue) suits CANNOT just come in your house and inspect your guns.
Whatever you possess now will be fine.
Can we just stop spreading rumors and deal with issues once they are actually presented before us?

What I do have is time and a half way decent ability to write. I have been spending hours each day researching, writing and promoting. Check out my blog: http://reasonedpolitics.blogspot.com/
I too will not register - but I also will not break the law. I just wondered what folks would do in a worst case situation.....Comment

I didn't register when CA passed the RAW law. I moved it out of state. If I would have registered it, the DOJ would have been able to enter my home on demand to inspect my storage of said weapon. Basically, I would have given up my 4th Amendment rights. Read carefully any new registration law, and only sign on if you can accept it. Other than that, consider other options. There is no law yet so I can't tell you legal or illegal options (to keep you out of trouble), you'll have to figure that one out.
The Zombie craze is not about warding OFF the creatures... it's about fighting WITH them!!!! There are in fact our forefathers resurrected to help fight the good fight and win back the freedoms they initially died for...

I see a lot of posts about "losing" your rifles if a ban passes
