    Interesting about BB

I was at J&J Armory earlier today to pickup my first OLL. After filling out all the paperwork.
Me: "Do you sell BB here in the shop?"
Worker : "No, we used to."
    Me : "why not?"
Worker: "I was at a gun show in SF, and one of the retired DOJ guy who used to work on Harrot v. County of Kings case, said that they (??) were able to use a pinky of a small child to drop the magazine on a BB set-up. So DOJ is going after BB now. BB is a big no-no"
Me: "Are you talking about the new BB or the old BB?"
Worker: After a short pause " Just BB".
Me: "Ok, thank you for the information"
The guy that I talked to is not a regular worker, I think he is the owner or a partner.
Have you guys heard anything about this? What make me concern is that J&J used to sell BB and now they stop.
I was about to pickup the BB for my first build, and I'm confused now.

    Thanks,

I challenge them to produce such a "child"....... for BB1, there is NO WAY.... even the finger of my 1 yr old won't be able to get in that hole!!!

For the now discontinued BB2, that may not be the case.

Yea I know this 6 month old, who got busted because he was dropping his mag this way!
But anyways, who carries a baby around to drop magazines? I just use a bullet

          FUD

          1. Harrott v. Kings Co. case had zero to do with the BB and "detachable magazine" issue, so there's no reason even to mention this case in any connection with the BB.

          2. Pinky of a small child? Give me a f*****g break! Hey, if you've got to go get a small child to use its pinky to activate the BB to drop a mag, guess what . . . that's a f*****g tool! (And so is whover is spreading this FUD!)

          3. Whoever told you this has his head up where it's dark and smelly, IMHO.

Think this through for yourself . . . when you're done, you'll not be confused.

now you're going to see all these guys get their kids and start jamming their fingers into bullet buttons to test it out. LOL

Thats freakin' hilarious! And worrisome. I see one year olds at the range all the time and they are into OLL's with BB's

WARNING WARNING!! I just used my labs toe nail to pop out my mag. No more dogs at the range

I think that the DOJ just sends people to gun shows and gun stores to spread FUD. Seriously, even if you were able to find a deformed child with a bullet shaped nub for a finger, somehow I doesn't think that counts. I mean for any tool in the world there is always going to be some circus freak with a corresponding mutant appendage.

This is confusing. I was just in there and the guy I was talking to was discussing his rifles... he had a BB on it.

Iggy was walking around claiming that his 5 year old can detach the magazines. He's full of it as his kid would have to bleed to do it. It's hyperbole.

Edited to add: And if Iggy's kid can remove the mag from the BB by finger then every SKS is an SKS with a detachable magazine.

I was in there today and asked if they had any. They said they wont carry it anymore and it is going to be illegal soon.
