This is a very naive question, but i've been looking into uppers and one stag arms one I found said "pre ban" in the description, I hate to ask, but, could someone tell me what "ban" this is "pre" of....

Yes & no, because legality might be determined on whether or not you have a bullet button on your lower. Example, if it has a flash hider, you will need a bullet button. Flash hider is a CA evil feature. I'm sure it has a 16" barrel right? 16" barrel and longer is fine. I'm sure the upper you are looking at is perfectly legal, it's just a matter of when you connect it to your lower.
Maybe post the specific upper you're interested in to get specific answers.
And there are no dumb questions, our laws are ridiculous and can catch anyone if they are not 100% aware. Hell, even some LEO have no idea what our laws mean. But google is also your friend.Last edited by RobGR; 11-23-2012, 5:24 PM.

Yeah, you're definitely fine, plenty of owners of that upper in CA.
