Mag release problem Arsenal SGL-21/current Russian AK

Is it normal for a SGL-21/current AK to have the mag release touch the trigger without a mag in the rifle? Seems like all the other AK I've seen the mag release has a stop on the mag release that keeps the mag release from rubbing/possibly binding on the mag when removed.

I think the spring may be installed the wrong way. From the mag catch pin, it looks like maybe you swapped the Arsenal California short mag catch for a standard one yourself?

Thee stop that is part of the mag release doesn't seem to touch the front of the trigger guard like on other AKs. I'm unsure of who did the mod
