      What does "better" mean?

Polymer coatings were done because American shooters erroneously believed that lacquer coating melted in chambers which is 100% false. No chamber will get hot enough to melt the lacquer. Watch Military Arms Channel (sturmgewehre?) who explains away this fallacy and demonstrates why brass cased ammo can stick in chambers that recently shot steel cased ammo.

Lacquer coating is a much better coating than polymer on steel cases as an added bonus.
