Red Jacket's Beehive round vs. Mythbuster intelligence

    Red Jacket 0, Mythbuster 1.
Although, the beehive was an interested round. Even though they cheated, they still can't beat Mythbuster. It just shows you the intelligence level of Will compared to the Mythbuster show
I think Red Jacket has hit the bottom of their rating and had to drag my favorite show into their circus.
Haha, you tell Will what is an explosion Kari! BTW, Kari is HOT HOT HOT!

In fairness, the "Mythbusters" is a team of literally about 20 people including scientists and engineers trained on a particular subject, plus lawyers. I think the RJ 'team' is Will and Will.

I didn't mind the episode. Was kinda fun actually. I appreciate the "what if..." type approach sometimes. And at the end, he owned up to it as one of the stupidest ideas he's had. Live and learn.

Didn't they get the tank to explode at the end even without the binary explosive?

It wasn't an explosion. It was ignition. Big difference.

I didn't mind that episode either. It's fun watching them blow stuff up and not making any game changing guns.

LOL true that. Have you noticed this past couple of episodes they've kinda backed off that whole 'first of its kind' 'game changer' phrasing? Instead I'm hearing a lot of "first for Red Jacket" "first of its kind for us..." talk. More gooder, but probably too late

Maybe a magnesium bullet in a sabot would get the job done?

The problem is that the propane needs to be aerated to explode and holes with ignition just make a blowtorch.

I agree that Mythbusters has far more brain power behind the show but there is plenty that they get wrong any way (and fail to correct even when provided with good info).

I'm pretty sure the amount of script and pirotechnics in that show and others like it. That was probably set up for entertainment purposes.

what's funny is the beehive is a DD round, is it not ? and since they tried to blow up a propane take with a DD why not use a HE round for a real big boom ?

Because they're real expensive and a pain in the arse to deal with.

They could've tried a .50 incendiary or Raufoss round. They would have had to put something hard behind the tank for the bullet to spark on.
