    complete AR upper recommendations?

    Hi All,

I will be doing an AR build and I was wondering what you might recommend in
the $400-$500 range for a complete upper.

Probably save up a little more money and buy an AR15Performance.

Palmetto sells some inexpensive stuff and the hammer forged FN barrel uppers are good stuff but not quite premium stuff.

If you can find it, Spikes Tactical uppers are very good. I think the 16" mid length uppers are/were going for 499-550 ish. Really can't beat that in my opinion.

All of my AR uppers are spikes with the exception of one.

Karri's Guns. Light but very dependable so far.

Bcm will cost you ~$600 so as per set price range won't get you there unless you buy used. Palmetto state armory puts together good stuff, some uppers even use FN parts. I have a 20" fn cold hammer forged rifle length upper by PSA and it far exceeds where it is priced.

Used or delton. Finding a new upper for 4-5 will be tough. Scour the interwebs....good luck

I have a complete delton midlength on my first ar with about 2500 rounds through it, still as accurate and reliable as the day I bought it. Cost me 390 new on here from a guy who had a bunch extra.
