Rifles by Tactical Operations/Would you mind me taking a look at yours?

I'm thinking about ordering a rifle from Mike Rescigno of Tactical Operations hopefully in the not too distant future. I'm wondering if anyone in the bay area that owns one would mind me taking a look at it? I'm not asking to fire it. I want to take a look at the work, including stocks used. Of course, it would be on your schedule. PM me if you don't mind showing me what you have. Thanks.

WOW. I do not even care for bolt action rifles that much but those are some PERTY pics.

They look about $2000+ for each rifle/scope.

Micronut, thanks for the offer and pics. That's a great looking rifle and the detail I've read about is there.

I talked to Mike a few days ago and had the X-ray in mind. Based on my size, he recommended the Delta and then the Lima, with the X-ray being third. It seems the recommendations were based primarily on my size and stock size, which is why I'm wanting to handle one or more.

Were you able to customize it much?

What was your wait time and was the accuracy what you expected?

What does it weigh minus the scope?

          Thanks

I'm not sure of the weight without scope, but with, its 17lbs with bipod and larue adapter, and i also chose the medium fill for the stock. Wait time is about 12-18 months. Keep in mind , mike is extremely anal about his work, more so than anyone I've ever seen.

His guns are guaranteed 1\4 minute, or it goes back to be torn down. As far as customization, he can pretty much do whatever u like, but he will also give u reasons for what he does as well.

The detail will blow your mind, to say the least. You will never find detail like this, anywhere. You're right about the differences in models, they are primarily stock, and weight differences, depending on what it is you will be doing. If you're hunting, you definitely do not want an F-class rig, and vice versa.

Quarter minute... JC on a pogo stick. I don't know anybody who can shoot like that.

Tac-Ops are very nice rifles. PM "Iggy" here for details on his Delta-51. Thread is here: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=607649

Keep in mind these are built on a Rem700 action. Marc Soulie of Spartan Rifles (Concord) can build on the custom action (or Rem) of your choice, also it's your choice on barrel, stock, trigger, bolt type etc. Another issue is time, Mike is running close to two years for a build. Then there's Mike's prices, ouch.

It's hard to beat the quality of precision fitting Mike does. His method of truing the action and fitting the barrel uses laser precision to the millionth, IIRC. The concentricity of his parts are legendary.

                    Killshot,

Yes, I pm'd Iggy and I've got offers from him and Micronut to check out their rifles if I'm ever in their area and I appreciate those offers.

I'm hoping someone in between San Francisco and Salinas has one that I could check out if I drive to them.

I'm not ruling out Marc and possibly others but I do want to check out one of Mike's rifles. Like I told Mike, this will be a "generations" rifle. It won't be sold.
