AR Help Please

Thank you everyone. Questions Answered. As for me being a LEO and having a greater understanding of the law. I can assure you that I take my job very seriously and have an extensive knowledge of the laws of our state. However, it would be absurd to expect me to know every detail of the laws regarding assault weapons and the exceptions to those laws. I do not labor under the misconception that just because I am a peace officer that there are not civilians with a greater working knowledge of certain laws than myself. I use any means of furthering my knowledge available to me even if that means asking questions on a primarily civilian blog rather than reading a copy of the California Code of Regulations for hours and probably not finding my answer.

No, it is not absurd for you to know the laws. If you are going to have an AR style rifle you SHOULD know the laws. If we as "sportsmen" and AR owners are to comply with complicated laws why shouldn't law enforcement know it? Law enforcement, it would seem to me should have all of that information at their fingertips...Members, especially new ones or old ones are admonished for asking questions and are always referred to the flow chart. There's nothing wrong with asking questions, unfortunately on this site and others you have to ask the right questions....good luck.
