If I end up making a piston upper I will use the U-15. I hated...HATED my AR-15 pistol because of the tube..it got in the way, I hit my wrist, head, elbow, knee...grrrr

I chose the U-15 option. . . I am discovering that functionally, it gives up absolutely nothing to a pistol grip. When going prone, it may actually be superior.
But, a lot of folks think it's ugly. I've never been one to care as long as it works. I see many more MMG's out there though than U-15's. I think they're much more popular.
i mean this one

i have 2 builds with MMG's and love them. they allow me to use my 30 rounders and the look has actually grown on me. both of them are 18" barreled rifles for 2 very different purposes. the 9mm build has a prince50 maglock...

Im going to make a magnetic pistol grip. Its magnetic enough to have a secure feel on the rifle but if need be it can be removed quickly with enough force. This could be used for quickly exhanging grips on a fixed-mag build, instead of going through all the trouble of unscrewing the grip. Of course you couldn't shoot steel casings with it, hehe
Good idea? no?
2) There is no way u can make it magnetic enough to hold the whole rifle's weight.- LL

Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

sigpicIf you loan someone twenty dollars and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

magnet...
Is there a legal issue with it being not "permanently affixed", or more specifically, not permanently attached with hardware?sigpicComment

not if you have a fixed mag. once that 10 round mag is fixed you can have all the evil features. why you would want to have a removable pistol grip isn't too clear to me. removing the pistol grip would actually make the rifle one step closer to having a featureless build.CRPA Lifetime MemberComment
