    barrel discolorization

Went to the new thew indoor range in sac to let some steam off and rapid fire my ar15. I ran 160 rounds through it....Around halfway through my handguard, troy industries alpha rail was too warm and had to grap my foregrip to continue. The next day I noticed some discolorization on my barrel. Did I ruin her?

Is it a light grey? If it is, its normal. Mine does this but after rubbing it down with your choice of cleaning solvent it should turn black again.

Probably just the oil burning out of the phosphate coating. You'll be fine.

Put 600 round thru my a4 clone and that barrel was white and powdery afterwards. Nothing a little remoil couldn't fix.

It's called The Gun Range in the North Highlands area.

What does an indoor range have to do with anything?

99% of the local ranges out in the Sac/north central cal area doesn't allow rapid fire. Been wantin to do this ever since I took a carbine class.
