I'm currently running 2 Magpul 10/20 magazines with American Eagle .223 along with Field Time .223 reloads.

Now, the first problem was after shooting approximately 50 rounds for the first time (which shot flawlessly), the first bullet in the next magazine would get "stuck" as it tries to chamber a round. I can see the bullet and appears to be stuck where the feed ramp is, however after re-cocking the charging handle and letting it go, the bullet that was "stuck" will chamber correctly and the rest of the magazine would function properly. This seems to happen every first bullet of every fresh magazine.

        After the frustrating day,
New gun coupled with Pmags often have this problem, especially if you are charging the rifle by pulling back on the charging handle and letting it fly forwards instead of locking the bolt carrier to the rear, returning the charging handle forward and then releasing the bolt via the bolt release lever.
There is no such thing as over-lubricated.
Excess lubricant will exit the bolt carrier group through the exhaust ports on your first shot fired.
Whatever is left is what the gun wants to keep.

Blocked mags can also cause chambering problems if the mag is holding the top round too tightly for it to chamber freely.
In order for a cartridge to leave a magazine, the cartridge has to TURN upwards before it is released from the magazine lips.
When the cartridge hits the feedramps and turns upwards, the colum of cartridges below needs to slide DOWN in the magazine slightly to make room for the top angled cartridge.
Download the magazine by one round and see if all the problems go away.

Try with the bolt closed with none on in the chamber. Insert fresh mag and yank the charging handle back and release it like you stole it. If the bullet is still stuck then theres something wrong, if not then its because the bolt isnt released as rapid as it should be.
Charging handle cyclic bounce will slow down the bolt carrier, causing failures to chamber that will NOT occur when the charging handle is stowed forward and the bolt release lever is used to release the carrier from the bolt catch.
This is more common in NEW guns.
Well used guns will have the sharp edges worn off the inside of the reciever and the charging handle as well as sufficient lube up into the charging handle slots that slingshotting the charging handle will not cause problems anymore.

It sounds like a magazine problem. PM me a shipping address and I will send you a couple extras I have lying around.
