I am unaware of any anti gun legislation that Obama has attempted to get through Congress yet this idea that Obama is anti gun just won't go away. In any case, it is Congress not the President who would need to pass any anti gun legislation. Honestly much of the assault weapons ban and other anti gun legislation was/is nonsense, but we obviously need some way of keeping guns out of the hands of crazy people. Although I would say that there are many other things that a crazy person could use to kill people if he/she were hell bent on doing so. One of the problems inherent in a highly technological society is that we have the means to direct energy at a rate that humans alone cannot. But unlike our technology, which is so far unthinking, humans are highly emotional and highly unstable. In the USAF I was monitored constantly for any sign of unstable behavior (as part of the PRP, for people handling nuclear weapons), and I can see some sort of similar program for people handling anything that could pose a significant threat to the public.
It is mostly the vendors that are creating this mass panic. Have you seen emails from some of these vendors? Buy our overpriced crap because god knows the jackbooted mafia will take everything come election time! Argghhhh!

I am guilty of falling for this. Although I didn't pay and am still refusing to pay exhorbitantly high prices.

P.S. I am in for your group buy 760knox.

I've been reading good things. Seems it's the same as Silver Bear which is often called the best steel cased surplus for the AR. I'm still running only brass through my primary AR and when you see a deal you have go jump quick. Request in stock notices and such.

I did so on some "cheap" .223 that's been working for me. Notified it was back in stock, ordered a half case with the quickness and not long after it's gone from the site. I forsee many an AR owner switching to steel case ammo.

Thanks for the tip on the MFS ammo. 400 rnds otw. Brown and Silver have been flawless in my AR. I'm hoping this stuff will do the same.

Is it steel alloy jacketed like Wolf and Tula? I wanna be able to shoot these at the range too.

Id like to know too. The zinc plating instead of laquer coating on the casing sounds beneficial after reading here on calguns about having to clean melted laquer out of chambers.

.223/5.56 ammo commonly sold for $0.40 to $0.50 per round and even at those prices, was still difficult to find.

in 2012, people remembered how bad it was in 2008 and are buying ammo so that they:

                    1. Have something to shoot when supply gets lean
                    2. Don't get bent over on ammo prices when supply gets lean

$0.35 per round sucks, but it sure as hell is better than $0.45 per round.
Big +1. I'm glad I took advantage of the "dip" in prices last year. Prices have been going up and will probably keep doing so through the election.

I bought a 1000rds of lake city xm193 in October for $289 from Cheaper than dirt (Ammo 5.56x45mm Federal Lake City FMJBT 55 Grain 3250 fps 1000 Round Case item #57281 to be exact), and now its like $400? Plus its out of stock at most places. I did find some PMC for $350 from Ammotogo for 1000rds of PMC.

                            Thoughts?
You made it 4 years on 1,000 rounds?
