    Hello,

whats your opinion about KR9? Is it reliable, good build quality and worth 1k?

    Thanks

Have not shot, but handled. Nothing comes close in price in an AK format. If you want to go all out, then an HK or PTR. If you just want a PCC, then a Ruger. If you want "cool factor", then a Scorpion or Vector. The Kali 9 is somewhere between it all. Definitely has a cool factor. Make sure to get mags. Good luck.

It's the closest thing to Vityaz that was built from the original TDP and got LAV thrown in the klink IIRC. It has less then stellar accuracy like most PCC at 50-100 yards, but it's definitely a fun gun to run at matches and plenty accurate for that.

I just ordered mine last week and having it converted to Ca compliance, but being that the company is rumored to have filed for bankruptcy...I feel I made the right choice. I already own the latest version of the Sig Sauer MPX so I am okay with the KR-9 not being the best out there. I am also ordering the Kalashnikov USA KR 103 with the button barrel lol. They are just cool and for me, it's all I need to buy them.

Where did you order from and how much is the CA version? Thought company is bankrupt.

            Thanks

Searched online a bunch of places and found a few 10 round mags. Free state people don't like buying the 10 rounders so there are some 10 round mags still in stock in free states, you just have to search around online and make a few calls. I ordered mine as soon as I heard the company started laying off workers. Hopefully they'll get bought out by another company and revived they are the closest thing to a Vityaz available.

They only came up on my radar when I went into an Ammo Bros a few years ago planning to buy a HK USP. I really wanted to like the USP but if felt cheap and plasticy, especially for the $1700 price tag. There was a Kali 9 on the shelf next to it and I checked it out. For only $1450 it felt a lot more solid and was 9mm instead of .45 acp. so cheaper to shoot. I already have an MP5 so I didn't really need to add the USP to my collection. I found the Kali9 on CG a little cheaper than Ammo Bros retail, plus no sales tax on a ppt. My nephew liked it so much he bought one ppt off CG too, but he scored with more magazines. Personally, I like the fake can because I think it looks weird with a long thin unshrouded barrel.

Found one at local turners, it's $1000 plus tax=$1200, what do you think? Worth it?

I believe it's worth it. I just started the DROS on mine and is being converted to meet Ca's compliance total was just about $1500 so $1200 is good. I'm having a kr 103 side folder converted and bought a regular kr 103. I am hoping to get a 104 pistol.
