Why would it even be practical to have a tool on the sling?

I just use a bullet. I mean seriously, If your out of ammo then you don't need to operate the BB anyways right? And the only time you'd really need a BB tool to be faster is in a SHTF situation. If that occurred just take the BB off!

Regarding the legality of having a tool attached to your rifle, My understanding of the laws governing whether a rifle is considered to have a detachable magazine comes from:

Title 11, Division 5, Chapter 39, Department of Justice Regulations for Assault Weapons and Large Capacity Magazines

5469 Definitions

The following definitions apply to terms used in the identification of assault weapons pursuant to Penal Code section 12276.1:

(a) "detachable magazine" means any ammunition feeding device that can be removed readily from the firearm with neither disassembly of the firearm action nor use of a tool being required. A bullet or ammunition cartridge is considered a tool. Ammunition feeding device includes any belted or linked ammunition, but does not include clips, en bloc clips, or stripper clips that load cartridges into the magazine.

Since there is absolutely no mention that the tool must not be attached to the rifle, I do not see how this Button Tool would change a rifle into an assault weapon by being attached to the sling. There are "tools" on the market, namely the Wonder Tool and the AR Mag Magnet that can be left attached to the magazine release inside the Bullet Button, thus allowing the magazine to be removed readily from the rifle by pressing it with your finger, the same as the original mag release button. Having one of these left attached will cause an AR to be considered an assault rifle if it has any other evil feature. There seems to be a consensus that simply having a tool attached to the rifle in any way, shape, or form makes the magazine redily removable but I am not seeing exactly why. I have spent many hours searching for other laws but cannot find any codes, definitions, or case law to support this. If someone could point me to something I would really appreciate it.

yes i have thought about becoming a vendor on calguns and i'am trying to get more info on this.i just want people to know there options when it comes to bullet button tools.i see alot of people on here talking about bullet button tools so why not let them know about mine.would you not do the same?thanks for your time and your comment.

Even though this is in the gray area of the law...

Since this is on your sling, I assume this really only works "well" if your not using your sling and the sling is simply dangling there. Otherwise the sling is going to be around the left arm and/or shoulder and the tool is going to be on the wrong side of the weapon...so you would have to unshoulder the sling in order to use this.

Why do you even have a bullet button? If speed is so irrelevant you should have just saved your money and top loaded.
