    Interesting bullet button tool

I just got a new bullet button tool that works great so I wanted to pass the info along. It goes on your sling like a buckle but has tabs that stick out to use as a tool. What sold me was watching the demo video and it works that well. I got the zinc plated one because that's all that was in stock. I wish I had waited for the black ones, but other than that I'm very pleased.

Could be iffy if its attached to your rifle (via sling)

good idea, but is it legal? tool attached to sling, sling attached to rifle -- now the tool is attached to (and thus part of) the rifle. i would think gray area at best.

I'm gonna jump on the "It might be illegal" bandwagon here. Attached to the sling could mean attached to the rifle. That is no bueno

Even though this is in the gray area of the law...

Since this is on your sling, I assume this really only works "well" if your not using your sling and the sling is simply dangling there. Otherwise the sling is going to be around the left arm and/or shoulder and the tool is going to be on the wrong side of the weapon...so you would have to unshoulder the sling in order to use this.

I'd feel okay about using that, but it's a pretty grey area.

Once the sling is attached to the gun it becomes part of the gun. If it is sitting on a table and you go to pick up the gun with one hand and the bullet button tool comes along with it, then it is attached.

Why not just install the little nub that screws into the side of a magazine, I think it is the UBBT tool or whatever it is called. It is like 5 bucks for 4 of them and it is really small.

http://ubbt.net/ubbt-installed-1020-1020.html UBBT is the best thing since sliced bread, can't think of any advantage to doing it any other way. The whole hindrance of a BB is having to use any kind of tool when you are changing mags, with this, grab a full, hit the button, insert new mag, GTG! You would be having to grab a new full mag no matter how you release the empty so by logic, the UBBT is by far the best, most efficient solution, short of running featureless.
