What AK Finish looks Better?

Depends on furniture. Wood or synthetic? What style are you going for? If you choose wood, a lighter wood such as maple or the classic Russian? Do you want it to look authentic?

got the smith that did mine to park it. the only flaw in the finish even after about 1.5k rounds is the arc that the safety lever traces on the receiver.

I don't think that you'll avoid that with any finish, unless you just don't use the safety.
