Just leave the 11th link empty so you have to charge it again. No sense in making tiny 10-round links and reloading the belt every time. I've seen folks claim it's legit. Anyone?

I don't see any possible way that would be legal. That's like saying putting a snap cap every 11th round in a regular box magazine makes it a non-hicap. yeah...not so much.

To the OP, just drilling some holes in the top of the flash suppressor is not enough to negate it's flash suppressor status. Now if you welded up a washer on to the front like a muzzle brake and did the holes, you'd likely be fine. As is, you're asking for trouble.
