It should vent upwards. you need to buy muzzle break spacers to properly fit your muzzle break to your barrel. Search it i know there is a forum that explains how to clean the threads and what lock tight to use. it takes a bit of time to do it right but its worth it. i did it with my surefire mb556k. Also torque wrench it at 20 pounds. any more will throw off accuracy any less wont be tight enough.

        your sig says near lax.
go down to ammo bros in cerritos and pickup a muzzle brake if thats what you want and a crush washer. they usually have them in stock.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Remember guys a crush washer is a one use only item. Replace it.

For future reference: Crush washers are good for 1 1/2 turns AFTER hand tight. After that, they will lose all tension and not maintain the muzzle device.

No reason to not have it clocked correctly.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

The history of the A2 flash hider is a little different. It's the A2 product improvement of the birdcage flash hider from the previous model. It's main design consideration was to reduce the dust signature in prone shooting, while still maintaining the flash suppressor function. This was done by not slotting the bottom of the cage.
