I went home for the holidays and noticed something that I probably shouldn't have, or at least drew an odd analogy from it.

Toilet flushers are like triggers. My apartment's toilet is like a two stage trigger, flushing only after a fair amount of pressure, while the toilet at the family homestead is like an accurized trigger with a set trigger pull. I've been shooting way too much .

I hear you, DedEye. On Thanksgiving, I was conversing while holding a barbecue lighter and didn't realize until afterward that I was making mental checks every half-second for safe direction and trigger discipline.

Come to think of it, I think I kept the safety on when I wasn't lighting something.
