as my primary centerfire weapon, thinking of selling my AK, SKS, and 870 and keeping my XD 45 and getting a nice AR, was looking at the Sig or similar.

Cheap and reliable. Easily modded if you want more goodies.

My vote goes to Daniel Defense since I have one. I would also take a Colt but I have a Colt 1911 which was one of the best gun purchases ever.

Go BCM and look no further.

                S&W is a good inexpensive choice....or Stag.

Also, why would you get rid of your 870? Gotta have a shotgun too.

Sell the AK and the SKS but keep the 870. Rifle shotgun and a pistol should cover all the basics. off the shelf AR i would say Stag or JD would be my choice. Not too high end but not bottom of the barrel either

The only two I would consider are LOKI Weapon Systems LWS M4 Patrol Rifle or a Daniel Defense M4 Carbine V5. Both are very solid reliable rifles with great barrels and quality parts throughout. And both are under $1500!

Have fun deciding, you might consider getting a couple rifles

I would look at the Smith & Wesson sporters that are selling for around $650. Turners usually has them, and will occasionally run deals on them. Inexpensive, reliable, and with a very good lifetime warranty. BCM and PSA probably have better guns for a little bit more. But after you get done with shipping and the FFL/transfer fees, it isn't as good of a deal. If you buy your lower locally, you can then order whatever upper amuses you and not get screwwed so bad on fees.

                        Take a look at these:
                        Stag Arms
                        Palmetto State Armory
                        S&W

Also, there is a guy on U Tube that has been testing the S&W MP15 sport with good results. Iirc his name is Zombie tactics
