I think you may save a little more weight by going with either a a1 or a mil spec collapsing stock.

Nice build man; I'm working on a lightweight build too, but I'm going with a polymer lower, which saves a ton of weight. Plumcrazy and New Frontier Armory both claim their lowers to weight 1.6 lbs, so if you ever decide to cut some weight...

              Very cool build.

I am fascinated by rifles that are compact and super light.

At 6.3lbs it must feel really nice and well balanced.

Makes me wonder if one can be built for more money of course but under 5lbs?

+1. I have one with all MOE furniture and a DD fixed rear sight. Its so fast and light. My gf loves it too and shes threatening to steal it from me. Guess that means I have to build another one for myself, oh well. Great choice!

The rifle looks really nice. But why the barrel looks more than 14.5inch long? My 14.5 inch barrel AR rifle looks shorter. Maybe my eyes are not good enough.

Is yours a mid-length gas system? Does it have a free float hand guard over a low-pro gas block?

No, the same carbine length gas system. I just measure the length from the front of A2 sight block to crush washer(including crush washer length), it is 4.75inch, same as that of my middies and rifles. The OP's barrel length looks close to my 16'' M4gery.
