does that question mean that you consider leupold (with a u and a d) and burris to be on the same playing field? I don't but it's neat that you do.

Vortex has a few lines of scopes. Each line has its own price point. The crossfire series aren't the highest end. The Viper PST appears to be.

I have Vortex bino's and honestly they're awesome and clear and well made. The people that I've seen purchase their rifle scopes have been happy.

Their scopes are right up there with Leupold IMO. They're not bushnell banners or center point but they're also not a zeiss.

Love my PST. On par with Leupold at a fraction of the cost. Burris is a step down.

I personally go vortex for the price range I stay within. And mostly because of this.
        From vortex's website.

"Our warranty is about you, not us. It's about taking care of you after the sale. We will repair or replace your Vortex product for any reason at NO CHARGE TO YOU. It doesn't matter how it happened, whose fault it was, or where you purchased it.
        Unlimited, unconditional lifetime warranty
        Fully transferable
No warranty card to fill out.
No receipt needed to hang on to.
If you ever have a problem, no matter the cost, we promise to take care of you. Theft or loss of product is not covered...that's it."

I'd place the PST or their HD line on par with many of Leupold's best and steps above Burris. They also have scopes that are more on par with Burris though and that's refelected in their price. Their warranty is awesome, no questions asked, quick turn around time, and hassle free. I prefer companies with great CS and Vortex has some of the best.

I have a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x56 on my Remmy 700 308. It is probably one of the best scopes for the money. I do shoot 1000yds+ quite often with good results.

                    I own a vortex Viper 6.5-20x44.

I love it. Its very clear everthing feels good and feels like quality. Like many have said before there are of course better scopes, but IMHO for the money you cant beat it. I compared mine to a leupold of the same price and the vortex by far had better glass

No. It means he doesn't know, and is asking a question. Hence, the question mark at the end of his sentence. Smart@ss.
