People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

Full-size rifle (AR/AK), pistol caliber rifle, a pistol. Not necessarily all at once, obviously.

Thanks for all the serious and sarcastic suggestions.

Narrowed it down to either a LWRC PSD Pistol or SOCOM 16 for the shorter barrel.

How about an FN FS2000 tactical. Very short at just a hair over 30", very different than what you currently have, and an interesting addition to your collection. Since you aren't ever going to use it in urban "combat" anyway, like 99.9999% of us here, we are gun enthusiests, collectors, and appreciators because it is fun, and because it's a better use of our disposible income than getting drunk in the bar. I think it would be a most excellent addition as an urban CQC type weapon. It's also next on my collection list. ;-)

          Have fun!

I just bought a saiga 223 and it's alright...I got it because of ammo availability and longer distance shooting...but recently I have rethought the urban fighting situation after seeing some impressive penetration videos of the 7.63x39...in a scenario where I'm shooting through the corner of a house because the bad guy is hiding just behind it I'm worried the old houses have too much wood and siding for a 223...so I'm going to pick up a 7.63 the first chance I get...I'll be using the 7.63 as my primary and my 30-06 semi for when I need to bust through or take long distance shots...That's my situation...if you see me out there I'll be carrying a 7.63 for close combat and my 06 for backup...with hopefully a 45 semi which I don't have yet...stay alive or you'll end up dead...

This is obviously a fun thread and not serious as if us civilians need a CQB weapon then we are all in trouble.

However you need to put the Wii remote down.

My ruck is typically 30-50lbs and up to 80. That's with one 5.56 rifle and one pistol 45acp. Never mind any chest rigs or anything else if I have that on. If you add the weapon and ammo weight of that AK and that 30-06 you are seriously going to be the like a slug in the sun slow.

Long story you are not going to be carrying two rifles anywhere.

Example: i once went hunting during small game season with my 12ga and my 22mag, plus my ruck. I prayed I didn't get a shot that day as I would never have been able to drag anything out. Plus it is clumsy as hell with two rifles.

If I lived in a free state the only rifles Id have that had a 16" barrel or more would be for punching paper at the range.

Why not just start saving up for that precision rifle?

Think of it as a $2000 head start on a GAP Crusader, or whatever it is that you want.
