    Differences in PSA products

I couldn't find a clear answer to this question: I am looking at several PSA rifles for my first long gun.

What are the substantial, real-world differences between:

    and

Thanks in advance. Yes, I'm a noob

Your first link is hammerforged barrel... top of the line, top of the line bolt carrier group, etc. Is this a new link? These were / are selling on PSA's website for $999....? Didn't look closely at the second link but it is a 4150 barrel which is good but not as desirable as the HF barrel. Not sure if it comes with the premium BCG.

    PSA is good stuff.

Barrel, optic, and triggers are different.

Disclaimer: PSA's site is not very iPhone friendly so I may have missed something.

Thanks for the replies (even the smartass one).

Now, another question looms: Will PSA even ship a complete rifle to CA?

On the first link, it mentions, "CALIFORNIA: Only PSA stripped rifle lowers at this time." Whereas, the second link seems to allow ordering a complete rifle to CA (with BB and 10-round mag). I have emailed PSA, but think they are bombarded with too much business without adequate employees to keep up.

It's more than likely the first link hasn't been updated. Just gotta find a FFL that will not charge you an arm and a leg for transfer fees.
