    JD Machine opinion??

Gonna do my first AR build and have searching around like crazy. Been noticing on a lot of the AR threads JD machine. Just wanted to get your honest opinion on them.

    Good quality? Fit? etc.

    Thanks all!

    Very good product!

...and awesome people. Do it. They probably make half of the other lowers you were shopping for anyways.

I have 3 of them. I wasn't that impressed with the finish. Chips easy and feels like black paint to me. And when I went down to the factory which is like 10 minutes from my house I wasn't impressed with their professional demeanor. Frankly I'm surprised they stayed in business this long. It went together great though and works like it should.

And I'm sure I'm going to be in the minority here. Most people have nothing but good things to say about them.

He is correct. Many well known brands (will not state names) use JD lowers and stamp their own markings on them and sell at different prices.

Have the other threads not answered your questions? I feel like there's been 10 threads about them in the last week, and in every one of them 100 people say they're GTG.

They are fine for a quality build. If your going to nickpick about finish, maybe try a boutique lower but if you want a good product at a good price, JD is a good one.

Excellent quality, and a great company (and people) to do business with. I got a military discount from them (bought direct), so inquire about it if you're eligible.

Running two of them. Only complaint is how tight the front take down pin is. I have to use a punch or tip of a screw driver. My spikes doesn't have that "issue".
