The ACR is worth it for the right price. I own one and it is one of my favorite rifles. I am ex Army and am very familure with the m16/M4-AR platform and the ACR is an upgrade in my opinion. The only problem with owning an ACR is that you won't be a "cool kid" on this forum because all the "experts" have negative opinions about it.

I got a ACR and it is amazing, there are alot of ACR haters out there and half have never handled nor shot the rifle but whatever to each his own..

But I love the rifle, I have had zero issues.. I personally think it is worth the money, if u r in OC I'm going shooting Sunday, pm and u can come shoot it..

The real question is would you use an acr in a manner where the improvements over a basic AR setup justify the price... Or, for the same $$ as an acr you can probably get a good AR plus optics and other goodies.

It's like Ducati vs Japanese bikes, it cost almost double the price of the Japanese bikes, is it faster? not really, but it's very nice to have if you have the money. I got my new ACR about a month ago, got a geissele 2 stage trigger, PWS FSC 556 comp. I love the rifle, very easy to get use to, and I haven't pick up my AR ever since.......

imo i dont think its worth the money although i have never shot one. its all up to you if you think its worth it get it, if you have doubts dont get it. some ppl love it, some in between and some dont like it at all.

ck_32 its not full auto he has it at 3 shot burst

Raise your hand if you own one or just firing blanks on the assumption that you won't like it because lots of others do not.

I forgot to mention, not sure about the other ACR owners here, but my ACR shoots with less recoil than my AR (not that AR recoil is bad). It's just a small nice thing about the ACR.

                          Would I buy one? No.

It's not light enough, it costs too much more than a very nice AR(or average AR with a really nice optic), the quick caliber change kits are still vaporware, and at this point it just doesn't do anything special.

If someone else wants to spend their own money on it, go ahead. I'm not going to stop you. But if you ask my opinion about the thing I'll say it's not worth it.

Sorry about the triple tap. I tried to post last night just about the time the forum went down. Something must have glitches... Cleaned up the mess..
