I am in Santa Barbara if anyone is willing to take a look im willing to take a drive lol as long as that person knows their AKs....What I really need is someone who has an extra mag to just function test the rifle before I start spending money on new mags I want to make sure thats the problem...

If you can open the base of the mag you can try and shim up the spring to increase the pressure and try it again. If the spring is tired and or cut down it might not have enough holding power with the last round.

Both now, I know that front to back wobble will make it so the bullets wont feed correctly but is that fixed by replacing the mag or is it possibly a bigger prob?

larger problem. Try out a poly mag, or shim where it meets the mag catch to keep it from moving. Just super glue on something to test it.


Mag shouldnt have much, if any, front to back movement.

The mag it came with is poly, i think lol it sure as hell isnt metal...im trying to get a buddy to let me borrow some mags just to at least function test it...I really dont want to spend a penny on this gun as far as acessories go until I get it functioning like it should..

Why own a gun if you dont shoot it? lol Right now Im not in a position to buy a new gun or sell this 1 so for now I am stuck with it...Im just trying to work the bugs out and go from there

Ya the shop said they couldnt see anything visibly wrong with the rifle there for he couldnt replace it and he only offered my 1 third of what I originally paid for it...he did give me a 1 year membership to his range tho...im thinking if I shoot it at his range maybe he will see first hand wut a p.o.s. rifle he sold me...i dont think he will do much for me...and as far as I.O. goes they told me to send it back but that it would take at least 6-8 weeks for me to get it back and even then i have heard that most people who send their rifles in end up getting it back with a new problem and have to send it back numerous times and still their rifles have issues....fml

How much does it usually cost to convert them into "standard" aks? as far as adding the pistol grip and b.b. as well as accecpting standard ak mags.

around 150-200 depending on what exactly you want to do.
