Curious, what is a good price to have a stripped AR lower in hand and out the door in California right now ? All total...

Quadruple post, someone is excited, heh.(you can hit the edit button at the bottom of the posts and delete the duplicates)

Not including sales tax(because it varies slightly from place to place) and the $25 DROS(because you'd have to pay it no matter where you get it from anyway), depending on what sales your local gun shops might be running a lower can be had for $100-$150.

Because of that, even if you end up getting a lower online for $60, if your FFL charges a $50 transfer fee(50-75 is typical, 25 is amazing), tack on shipping, you're still paying sales tax if it's bought online from a retailer(not if it's from an individual), and suddenly a great deal becomes average at best. Generally it's only worthwhile to buy lowers online when you get discounts on multiple transfers at the same FFL, bulk shipping, more than 1 long gun per DROS, etc.

Dpms receivers and cal configured rifles are currently being brought in to CA as OLLs, but I do not know what roll marks are on them, but they are not banned by name. FWIW

I looked into getting a lower online and the only ways I could figure you save money are:

              - Buy multiple lowers (multiple transfers are usually cheaper than one)
              - Buy cheap (Needs to be $50 or so to be cheaper with transfer fees - tough to find)
              - Buy assembled Plum Crazy lower(s) (Comes with LPK and Stock so transfer fee plus the ~$130 you pay is still less than buying cheap piece parts)

I did A/B. Palmetto State had a sale for $50 lowers and I knew a friend would buy one. Split all fees down the middle (including transfer to him) and we are at $102.50 per lower. I am a cheapskate and could not find cheaper. I would have bought the Plum Crazy, but I went with a Dissipator upper so the rifle was not going to be lightweight.

                +1

For the cost of a brand new stripped lower, why bother. + I don't feel like playing musical chairs with the law.

Aero Lower is around $89.99 + tax + DROS if you buy it local. Sounds cheap enough to not have to worry about getting locked up. To make it an even better value, just add a lower to another long gun purchase you may want anyways.

They are roll marked DPMS model A-15. I do not recall seeing Panther on the lower. GTG not banned by name.

All day long at $130 out the door.

Some shopping can get closer to $100... not likely below.

Cheapest FFL transfer service is from some kitchen table FFLs in Ridgecrest and Bakersfield... $35 total, don't know if they will transfer "black" gun parts or not.
Cheapest "regular" FFL transfer fees would be in the $50-$60 range OTD.

So best case FFL transfers, compares to "all day long" OTC price, this DPMS would have to be less than $80 shipped.
