I'd get a SCAR17, as it's actually an "optimized battle rifle" that's being used for battle.

Or just wait a few months for the MR762 since you like HK.

Of the two though, I like the Armalite, for the adjustable gas and the barrel seems to be the better of the two.

I knew someone was going to say this, But I decided I would get the Scar 17s and then the MR762 if I had any leftover money. But the Armalite and OBR are going to be temporary until I can get my hands on a 17s or MR762

OBR is definitely a sweet rifle.

        Course, I'm biased.

I'm a big fan of LaRue's OBR so my vote is obvious, here's a cool article about them:

Money was an object, and I still do have a small penis

Don't know much about the Armalite, but I've been pretty happy with the OBR

OBR seems to be one of the most accurate .308 ARs out of the box. They are reliable, accurate, and they are KAC compatible.

I really wouldn't mind having one.

Hell I can afford to shave off an inch for a free OBR 7.62 and nice glass

                      I like armalite!
I have shot LelandEOD's OBR and its damn nice, especially how Lee has his set up... Me personally, I can't stand the Pmags, I've had nothing but trouble with 7.62 Pmags.

Had no inches to spare...sacrificed left nut instead

To the OP, it's been said that the 7.62 AR's are a different animal as far as shooting, and I'd have to agree. I've gone from five shot groups that were all touching to ones that are almost an inch by just slightly changing grip pressure or giving up driving the gun during follow through. It seems like such a small deal, but the results are very different...

I like the Armalite ,I have three of them.I dont like the high rail on the OBR. Larue has a new one that just came out .It has differant rail. They both are good guns .Have you looked at the LMT .308 .Also ,I am waiting for the new H&K and Sig's .308 rifles. One of them will be my next rifle. Riflegear had the the new Larue in stock last week.

I'll agree with Lou's assertion that the AR-10 P magazines suck a big one. I have the original LaRue mags that the rifle came with but had to disassemble them when I moved behind the curtain. I refused to bastardize the LaRue mags so I got the 10/20 P-Mags instead. I never had a FTF with my OBR until I started using P-Mags.

The Armalite AR-10's are rock solid reliable machines.
