AR-15: 1-4x24 scope and FSB problem!

Has anyone else had a problem with a 1-4x24mm scope and a regular Fmarked fropnst sight base?

With a LaRue 1.5" High mount, in low light power setting 1x, I can see the FSB.

At 4x, and only in bright light, the FSB glares in 80% of my field of View, and is probably at least 60% of the light coming through the scope.

This is with a Millet DMS 1-4x.

I have a YHM flip sight FSB with bayo lug that I didn't have the problem with that I am going to go back to.

Hope this helps someone out there.

You should really use a folding front sight if you've got a 1-4x scope.

I had a GRSC-CRS on a PEPR mount, I can see the FSB at 1x, but not on 3 or 4x

I had a Weaver V3 1-3x, in a Burris PEPR mount, and at 1x, the FSB is visible but blurry, and at 3x, I don't see it. Flip up sights are the only answer if it bothers you too much.

Weird, but you are right stevie... Doesn't bother me at all anymore. With that glare, I can still see better at 400 yards than I could with plain irons.

I also have an F marked front sight post and it's only visible bellow x3 power. Im wondering what height your scope mount is? If your having that much blockage from the FSP im thinking your base could be the real problem.

I run a 1440x900 resolution on my 19" monitor and your signature takes up more than a page.

If it bothers you and you want to stay with a FSB, consider the 1.93" high mount.

Your eyes just dont want t break the habit of looking at the front sight. Just keep shooting, you will adjust soon enough.
