    That is a sweet kit.

The big problem is that the set trigger is full auto. You will have to replace or modfy the trigger group and clip and pin the lower, so you may not get the 1lb trigger pull.

Nothing Williams Trigger or Bill Springfield can't handle. I'd go with a C/P navy lower over the steel lower anyway.

Dood, if I hadn't just pissed away a bunch ofhard earned sheckels on another Robbie M96, I would totally creep up on that.

Modify the triggerpack to semi ASAP. I believe if you dont yet have a receiver or rifle that the FA triggerpack fits you are OK to possess the FA parts. Once you have a receiver or rifle, you may have a constructive possession on your hands.

Not trying to start a furball here, but a G3/SG1 isn't likely any better a shooter than any other randomly-selected G3. The whole reason the PSG-1 even exists is because the G3/SG-1 was found to be totally unsatisfactory when the chips were down.

What the other poster said, get a Williams trigger job. The man knows what he's doing.

I was under the impression that the SG1's were hand selected G3's that were then tarted up with the stock and t-pack.....

I think the PSG1 is a whole nuther animal ~ more for police vs. a military SDM function... I think the SG1's were not satisfactory for police needs. Even with the avail of the PSG1's the Bundeswehr called for the MSG3....

The set trigger system was not renewed however (by the German Govt), for whatever mysterious reasons...

Agree with you on the potential of the Williams trigger, though I do not have one.
              Seriously missing the 80's.....

The auto sear on the SG1 Trigger pack isn't even used when the set part of the trigger is engaged.

Just remove the Sear, the sear pin and the arm that connects with the sear and weld up the hole.

                Problem solved.

I've never tried the Williams set trigger, but I can tell you a Bill Springfield worked over PRT trigger group is COMPLETELY different than before he workes on them. Between the low cost and fast turnaround, I wouldn't go with anyone else. I don't see a reason to spend that much money on the HK set trigger unless you want an all HK build. That said, it's really not a bad price for a parts kit assuming the bore is in good condition.
