    Bump Fire SSAR15

My cousin in the Midwest emailed me about helping him find his first firearm. During my dligent research, I came across this product by Slide Fire Solutions, called the SSAR15. It is a replacement butt stock for AR15 rifles, that increases the firing rate for any shooter. I will not call it automatic - as there are absolutely no modifications inside the lower receiver.

I did a few searches but couldn't find a thread on this topic, but didn't find anything here.

Atlantic Firearms sells these, but states that California law prohibits the sale of this stock here. Any ideas on what specific code section covers this restriction, as it is not a collapsible buttstock, and it does not modify the trigger group. And if you have a bullet-button, then using adjustable stocks should not be disallowed.

Love to hear thoughts, comments and otherwise pithy posts!

PS - last minute update - Atlantic Firearms replied (within 30 minutes of my inquiry!!) and said they are not illegal to sell to California, but that the purchaser should be aware of all the laws, including gray areas - BEFORE they purchase one. But they are happy to provide one!

            NOT worth it...

Thanks Bill for the reply and findings.

Perhaps if I would have expanded my search into the law section, versus only the Centerfire topics, I might have found that and saved everyone a few minutes. But if it saves ONE Calgunner from trouble....well then I guess my work here is done.
