Has anyone taken up building a M110 style rifle? I am going to try a similar version and need the KAC adjustable buttpad stock. Anyone know where I can get one?

I looked into it and decided I would rather save some money and build a clone that was just very similar rather than identical.
A Magpul PRS is probably a lot better than the KAC stock and about half the price. Or you can do the adjustable A2 like was posted above.
When I get around to it, I'll probably be using a different rail as well, as my lowers are DPMS pattern and I think the KAC RAS is built just for a KAC upper, could be wrong. Either way, they're stupid expensive.Comment

When you get down to brass tacks it's just a 20" 308 AR with rails. So if that is what you want just build something similar using parts from other makers.
My advice is to figure out what you actually need vs. what you think looks cool in the picture and go from there...Comment

I have a Noveske N6 lower with a Wilson Combat TTU Match 2 Stage trigger. It has an A1 size stock. I went with the shorter stock because of shooting with load bearing equipment and making up the length difference because of equipment. I was going to go with the a2 size but that would push the rifle out even further when wearing load bearing equipment so I stuck with the shorter option for now. On order is the PWS compensator and Armalite 10 rnd only magazines. The glass will be a Leupold Mark 4 10x40 LR/T M3 which is sitting lonely in the safe. The only setback is saving money for the 21" Noveske upper.Comment

The KAC 110 is WAY WAY WAY over priced considering the competition out there. Save some cash and get your self a GAP-10 rifle.
Way better pricing and hell of a gun to boot.
The KAC 110 was a great innovative platform when it came out but since then the other guys have caught up to or surpassed their M110 for less money.Originally posted by aklonIn 1775 we stood up.

Mine kinda looks like the M110 carbine. But then again, you aren't looking to build a carbine.
What else besides the stock are you wanting to use to make it look like a M110?PM or Email me if you have questions: Jpach89@gmail.com
Check out my LMT .308 AR

There were several flavors to choose from, regular, hot cinnamon, or bacon. Im a man of danger so I chose Hot cinnamon to use with my bump fire buttstock.Comment

Dang it I was just going to bring up the M110 Carbine. It runs with a Magpul ACS.
It just happens to be the stock I'll be running, not because of the M110C thing but because its exactly what I need.Comment

I kinda went that route too with my CMMG MK8. That KAC adjustable A2 stock isn't very hard to find. $400.00 is just uncivilized. I've been eye balling this stock for a while; it is the 11th one down the line:
At $179.00, the price is more than satisfactory. You'll just need to get a 308 buffer and spring.
Those two rail gas blocks are easy to find. And I think the Troy MRF308 is pretty close to the KAC rail hand guards."We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience." - Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.Comment

OP, listen to these posts above.
The buttstock is crap. Literally. An A2 buttstock is stronger.
I have an anecdotal story about how one of ours was dropped, from a height of about 6 inches, vertically onto the buttpad, which was extended back about 2 inches at the time. The buttstock and it's internal adjustment components shattered into multiple little pieces upon striking the ground. The whole thing is thin walled, brittle plastic.
Don't get the KAC buttstock.Originally posted by orangegloCool...Originally posted by jl123story...Originally posted by dadoodybro...Comment

2) Leupie M3 10X is a good little scope and will fit well on that rifle.
3) Magpul ACS works great and is just as solid as an A2 stock when you lock it down.
4) Buy my PWS compensatorComment

1) If you want a 20" get the national match upper from 762sass.com, otherwise build up a 16" or 18" using a barrel like the rainier ultra match and whatever handguards you want (I think 762sass has 4rail armalite free float handguards that come with the barrel nut for 200). Noveske are nice but 1700 for an upper

Which PWS do you have and how much?Comment
