Inexpensive red dot sight for an ar-15?

I am looking for red dot sight for around 150$. And was told in store to take a look at vortex strike fire red/green dot sight. In store they have it for 149+tax. I found one at optics planet for the same price + free s/h and no tax. What you guys think about vortex strike fire, is it worth to take a look. I would want to have Eotech, Aimpoint or Acog, but all of them out of my budget( and i don't think they will be anytime soon). Or should i look somewhere else, any suggestions highly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Vortex is good also look at primary arms.

I just purchased a Lucid HD 7 from a member on the commercial sales section and I highly recommend it/him. Priced at $199 with a 2x magnifier. Seller is Globeflyer if I remember correctly do a search for Lucid HD 7.

See primary arms... Look at the sparc, and the bright red vortex, not the red/green one. I have a PA M3 comp and like it plenty.

I am in the same boat......I was going to get a cheap red dot but my buddy (vet) and I decided it is better to get iron sights than a cheap red dot just somthing to consider.

Don't get the Vortex red/green dot combo, get the vortex strikefire (red only) super bright. The red/green dot combo is very dim at the highest setting, the super bright model is perfect.

sorry beliyrost most people here dont treat new members like this. it is obvious that someone made rodeoflyer unwelcome when he was new.

a cheap red dot is just that, a cheap red dot. Over the next couple months save a few bucks here and there and get an eotech or aimpoint. you wont regret it.

Ok to be fair the tasco is about worth $50 to be honest. Its just not an AIMPoint so I hate on it

But the glass is semi clear and it works. Mounts are kinda cheap but they hold on. A little low so my site post gets in the way a little bit and the dot moves with your head. So if your heads off to the left of the scope your shots going to be off to the right.... I forgot what its called when your sites dont move if your heads off center.

Just cant think of the word right now. But its a decent scope for the price. Wouldnt trust my life with it tho.. thats for dam sure
