    California AR .308

Does anybody sell a complete rifle in California or do you absolutely have to build it? Thanks.

DPMS will sell you a complete rifle, so will some gun shops.

But I assembled my own. It is easy and you have the opportunity to pick the parts you want instead of being saddled with ones you would not have selected.

Where are you located? RifleGear in Fountain Valley has LWRC, Noveske and LaRue in 308 factory built ready to go.

I haven't seen any. I've seen uppers and lowers but not a complete rifle. DPMS is banned by name or else I'd just buy one from them. I love my DPMS AR15 uppers.

Thanks for the info, but not looking to spend outrageous money.

Buy a lower and then a completed upper, pin them together. Voila 308 AR.

It is much more fun to build your own.

DPMS is listed, so they shouldn't be selling you a complete rifle.

There are many .308 ARs out there that are ready to go and are CA legal.

I highly recommend getting a LMT MWS .308. Look in my sig line to see its awesomeness.

How about this one here. I am trying to get in contact with them to see if they can get the bushmaster Moe version and convert it then ship it to an FFL here. I have sent them an email and so far no response. I am gonna try to call them tomorrow if I get a chance.

The Bushmaster ORC, nothing too fancy but is a lot cheaper than some of the other options listed. It's around $1400-$1500. I've seen them at Guns Direct in Burbank and Martin B. Rettings in Culver City.

Edit - Looks like Triggs75 found it for a lot cheaper than what I've seen.

The more I look into it, it seems like you can build a better rifle for a lower price then if you just buy one complete. From my experience AR15's are like that but I was thinking about buying a complete AR10 because I was reading that parts aren't all interchangeable like on an AR15.

I saw a Bushmaster listed, I thought they were banned by name like DPMS is?

Remington R-25 is the DPMS .308 and comes complete.
If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of payments.

the following modeles are listed and banned:
                            Bushmaster Assault Rifle
                            Bushmaster Pistol
                            Bushmaster XM15 (all)

However the .308 bushamsters are marked LR 308 and thus can be imported.

That's cool. I might go that way then. Do they take DPMS mags or Armalite mags?
