    16" .625 lightweight barrel in .308?

Is it even possible to go this light/thin on a 16" barrel?

Hmmm prob not a good idea. I think .750 is the thinnest.

Christ the barrel walls would be about .1585, paper is about .0038 so stack 19 pieces of paper and see if you think that's thick enough for a .308 barrel.

We could call it a "paper" barrel to go with the "Pencil" barrel.

I would not recommend this as a manufacturer.

follow up shot accuracy would suffer greatly if you could - if your looking for low barrel mass contact er shaw about spiral fluting

So with .750 barrel being the minimum, can one get to build a 308, similar or maybe even lesser in weight to the Bushmaster 308 MOE and at a lesser price?
