The plate will grab the lip from the 1st gen pmags, but you can rip it off if you pull at a certain angle. So it must be epoxed. I dont think pinning it will do the job

How hard would it be to cut a pmag down to a 10 rd?

Pinning it will work just fine. I'm a big guy (6'4" Ex-Firefighter/EMT) and I pulled on the floor plate with EVERYTHING I HAVE and it didn't budge.Comment

On a cut down pmag? I was able to pull mine with maybe 10lbs of pressure. Pinning will work if you can get it high enough to pass through the body and not the edge of the body like most pinning jobs are doneVictor M.

No no wasn't your explanation, I am on heavy pain killers and muscle relaxers because I sprained my back. It takes a few reads before things register in my mind. I ordered one and will give it a shot."I *love* the idea of DOJ buyback money being used to buy guns for kids. " - SteadyrockComment

Anyways I got my rebuild kit and started measuring, only thing I want to be able to do is maybe make a ridge for the floor plate to ride on. I'm too scared to cut it right now."I *love* the idea of DOJ buyback money being used to buy guns for kids. " - SteadyrockComment

Yeah I know the ridges are not thick enough, I was more or less trying to come up with a tail cap piece of my own."I *love* the idea of DOJ buyback money being used to buy guns for kids. " - SteadyrockComment
