It's the real deal, just the base model like in the picture. Generally the more expensive ones are the MOE models featuring magpul stuff and a threaded barrel.

HOOKANDBOOK, I have one, really fun firearm and .22lr is cheap & plentiful. There are a couple of different editions, like the Magpul MOE 15/22 with all Magpul gear. The stock iron sights on the 15/22 are accurate and gtg with a little time spent on zeroing.

Go to the rimfire section on calguns and do a search, there are a lot of posts about the 15/22. You'll be happy with your purchase... but you can also wait for a 25% off coupon that doesn't exclude firearms and pick it up with that. Tell them to charge you the full price if it's on sale and apply the 25%, chances are it'll be far less.

It's good from what I have heard. It it mostly polymer and that's why I went with the Umarex Colt Walther M4 they have at big 5.

Sorry for posting in the wrong section...but I think that explains most of my confusion in regards to the M&P!!!!!!! Sorry guys I am really green when it comes to rifles or guns in general but I was thinking that a .22lr and a .223/5.56 was the same. I guess thats why I am finding so much of a price difference when shopping this style of gun. What I have looked at in person was a .223 and what BIG5 has is a 22lr.
