    problems with Fire Control Group

even after ordering my new BCG (Del-Ton)... using 55 grain FMJ PMC ammo .223, only about 6/20 fired. Same thing happened with my older BCG. Is it my FCG (about 12-16 yrs old) that is the problem? Not hitting the firing pin hard enough? I was thinking that... UNTIL i put in remington UMC 55 grain FMJ for .223 and had only 3 FTF out of 40... SO CONFUSED. please help!

My brother had the same exact problem, it was his firing pin hitting too soft. It would leave a small indentation, but it wouldn't hit hard enough to ignite the round's primer.

You had problems with both ammos............it's the gun, and your thread title is misleading.

I cant diagnose the guns issues but
with my AR15 PMC has always gone bang and launched lead

FOR SURE NOT the ammo. Not hitting a primer hard enough is not a symptom of ammo issues.

A proper AR should have 0/40 FTFs. Get it checked out

Have you tried changing the firing pin? Quite possibly the firing pin or springs if you are getting light primer strikes.

Got any pics of the primer on the ammo?

                    I have used a lot of PMC .223, 9mm and 40 S&W, never a problem.

Even 3/40 FTF is no bueno. Get rifle checked.

Definitely not the ammo. Did you lube like we told you or did you leave it dry and tight...

Just because most people havent had a problem with PMC doesnt rule out the ammo.

Try the ammo in another gun and see what happens.

It can be a bad batch of primers.
I switched out a striker assembly in my pistol and the ammo still had light strikes.

According to ammo seller, it was a bad batch and is currently replacing the ammo for me.
