I have a Spikes upper that came with a Sabre Defense barrel. I bought it in early 2009 I think. It was a step up from their cheaper uppers. I didn't see them offering Sabre Defense barrels for very long after that.
They make good products, I don't really care who is doing the manufacturing because no matter who the manufacturer is, they all use the lowest bidder who can deliver a product that is up go their standards. -
They make their own stuff, maybe not entirely but read their about us page. Sure sounds like they do.

there are only a hand full of companies that actually making all their parts from scratch. my guess is that spikes buys most of the parts and assembles them into a compleat rifle and slaps there name on it. im sure they make some of their parts themselfs but i bet they get the recivers, barrels, LPK, and BCG from some one else.A SWAT Monkey is a powerful psychological tool. Imagine you are a criminal hiding in a closet and you hear "Release the monkey!" You would shudder.Comment

I'm pretty sure they don't actually make anything. They assemble from really good parts.
Their parts have a lot in common with daniel defense parts.Artist formally known as CEO of Tracy Rifle and PistolComment

As mentioned they are mostly a value added reseller. It is through volume and brand recognition that they can offer good products at reasonable pricing.Originally posted by pullnshoot25I would love to have a hole cut in the ceiling so I could pop out and BAM! Spikes uses a few different manufacturers for their lowers, the prefix on the serial numbers will give insight on who it was. Not sure if it is ok to provide a link to another forum but they have the info there. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.htm...f=282&t=166787Comment
